As a client you need to be certain any person you hire has been comprehensively vetted, so that the people you support are safe and secure at all times. Their identity, experience and training must also be verified.
In the education sector it is crucial that vulnerable young people are not exposed to individuals who may pose a threat – and that those individuals are qualified to carry out their role competently.
Equally, social care employers must be absolutely certain the staff they employ are safe to work with vulnerable individuals – such as those with learning difficulties, substance abuse issues, the elderly or those suffering mental health difficulties . Would-be employers must also be sure of their workers’ identity and training.
Candidates interested in support service roles in either education or social care must be vetted in the same way.
One of the reasons Ten 90 has built such a strong education and social care recruitment business is because our safeguarding and vetting procedures are so stringent: we have one of the most robust procedures in the industry. We take a number of steps to ensure you know as much about a candidate as possible; that they are eligible to work in the UK, that their qualifications and experience are valid, and that they have the necessary skills, experience and temperament to perform their role effectively and safely.
