Social Care

Whilst finding social work opportunities in many countries is very competitive, in the UK there is a huge shortage of skill. England introduced the Care Act in 2015 and this has driven up the demand for qualified social workers leading to a huge skills gap. England doesn’t have enough social workers to fill these roles and so there is a host of opportunity for qualified social workers looking to relocate to England. Those with the proper qualifications (Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Social Work) can apply for a Tier 2 Visa.

If you have recently qualified as a Social Worker and are struggling to find the right opportunity for your career in your own country, the UK could be a better option. Starting your social work career in the UK will allow you to access your area of choice, whether it’s children, adults or any other speciality.

We work with local authorities in London and across the UK with exclusive access to many roles so you won’t find them anywhere else. We offer short term and long term opportunities and some employers may even offer you a permanent position and help sponsor your visa. We have access to all kinds of qualified social work roles in England- children, mental health, young offenders, elderly, residential and much more.

Education

The English education system is one of the best in the world. Working in the English education system offers talented teachers an opportunity to launch and progress their career, to make a difference and teach in an education system with high standards. In England, we are seeing new schools open all the time and the demand for teachers far outweighs the supply. England needs teachers across the key stages and all subjects. In particular, demand for Maths and Physics teachers is so high that England has relaxed immigration rules to make it easier for some teachers from abroad to work in Britain.

We work with thousands of schools in and around London as well as across the UK. We offer opportunities to work in primary schools, secondary schools and SEN schools. We tend to have something for everyone. We develop excellent relationships with these schools and really take the time to get to know them so we can explain what it will be like to work there, what ambitions the school has and what the job responsibilities are.

Nursing

England’s National Health Service (NHS) is the largest and oldest in the world. It’s the world’s fifth largest employer and has been labelled as the world’s best healthcare system by the Commonwealth Fund. Currently, the NHS employs 1.6 million people and there are many vacancies that they are struggling to fill. Furthermore, sales for private health insurance have increased, marking a significant growth in the demand for private healthcare workers too. There is an abundance of opportunity in the English healthcare sector.

We work with NHS hospitals, health trusts private hospitals, and care providers in and around London and across the UK. The roles we have access to span across all kinds of nursing- critical care, paediatric, general (surgical and medical) and much more. We have opportunities for nurses at all levels and of all durations, from one-off assignments, short-term and long-term placements, to permanent positions.

To work as a nurse in the UK, you must register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). To register you should meet their requirements- there are different requirements for nurses who have trained outside of the UK and EEA. Our specialist nursing recruitment consultants and compliance team will guide you through the process to ensure you meet the requirements to register and guide you through the registration process. If you need to participate in the Overseas Nursing Programme, we will help you to enrol in an approved programme.

You will also need to obtain a visa to work in the UK. We will steer you through this process to make it as easy as possible and maximise your chances of success. Nursing is listed as an industry experiencing shortages and so it is highly likely that you will be able to obtain sponsorship to support your visa applications.
